IL PREZIOSISSIMO SANGUE - da Mantegna a Canova
In occasione del giubileo della Speranza, indetto da papa Francesco per l'anno 2025, la Diocesi di Mantova, guidata dal motto "ogni tua speranza è il Sangue di Cristo ", ha scelto la basilica di Sant'Andrea come unica chiesa giubilare. Eccezionalmente nella cripta della concattedrale di Mantova sarà possibile vedere e venerare l'insigne reliquia del Preziosissimo Sangue che la Diocesi custodisce da 1200 anni. Per l'occasione il Museo Diocesano ha predisposto un percorso storico artistico complementare alla visita della cripta; permetterà di scoprire vari capolavori provenienti dalla basilica di Sant'Andrea o legati tematicamente al culto del Preziosissimo Sangue.

On the occasion of the Jubilee of Hope, proclaimed by Pope Francis for the year 2025, the Diocese of Mantua, guided by the motto ‘all your hope is the Blood of Christ’, has chosen the basilica of St Andrew as the only jubilee church.
Exceptionally, in the crypt of Mantua's co-cathedral, it will be possible to see and venerate the illustrious relic of the Precious Blood that the Diocese has been guarding for 1,200 years.
For the occasion, the Diocesan Museum has prepared a historical-artistic itinerary to complement the visit to the crypt; it will allow visitors to discover various masterpieces from the basilica of Sant'Andrea or thematically linked to the cult of the Precious Blood.
